The climate of Whistler is very much regulated by its proximity to the southern coastline of British Columbia and the ocean. This popular resort tends to feature a mild winter climate with a fair amount of rain, together with plenty of snowy weather on the highest mountain elevations.

However, by this time, the climate of Whistler is quickly beginning to warm up and summer weather is just around the corner. Summer highs in July and August average around 22°C / 72°F, on occasion climbing to anywhere between 25°C / 77°F and 28°C / 82°F, although never really much higher. Even at this time of the year, summer skiing in the considerably cooler mountains is possible.

Whilst the summer weather in Whistler is very favourable and sunny, assisted in no small part has the arrival of high pressure off the British Columbia shore, the evening temperatures can drop sharply and feel quite cold. The autumn climate of Whistler is best described as 'crisp', with fine days and an unmistakable feeling that summer has left and the winter will soon be here. In a good skiing season, skiers and snowboarders can arrive at the neighbouring mountain resorts as early as the beginning of November, although the skiing season can be delayed by a month or so when the autumn is especially mild.
